Located in central area away from the traffic laden Copacabana beach area. Unless you plan to swim at Copacabana beach a lot, this is a good location for the sights and very accessible from the San Dumont airport. Uber/taxi very cheap to sugar loaf and other attractions. Good choice of buffet breakfast with a mix of local and western food. Very helpful front desk, especially Renata. Rooms are basic, but clean.

I actually had 2 comfortable nights at this hotel but their website just kept on charging my credit card over and over. Thankfully, it showed up on my phone, so I was able to inform the staff and show them the receipt at the time. A very helpful front receptionist said he would contact the finance department and that when I checked out early the next morning' it would all have been rectified. When I went to reception, no one could help and I was told to wait for the manager who would be on duty after my flight left..... So far, no response from this hotel and no money back.I've contacted my credit card provider and so I now have to battle to get my money back. My experience of checking in was in I’m afraid to say, truly awful. I arrived at 5am and the older gentleman checking me in was ignorant. Apparently, he was the ‘English speaker’ on duty and he completely ignored me when I asked a question. I received no information whatsoever about breakfast times, where facilities in the hotel were and he didn’t even have the good manners to look up at me when I checked in, he just opened his hand for my passport. He started huffing and getting obviously irritated when I asked if it were possible to arrange a later breakfast as I wouldn’t be getting to bed u TIL 6am, despite having to pay for the hotel for the night before. The guy actually just ignored me until I asked him directly and he didn’t even look up and said ‘no’ in a really annoyed manner. Great customer service, thanks! Thankfully, when I had need to speak to reception staff during the day, this was a much better experience. I spoke to a young woman and on another occasion a young uni man who were friendly and helpful, so much so, I decided to stay again on my return trip the following week. That was up until they kept charging my credit card, firstly through the own hotels website that said the transaction failed but charged the credit card and then again when duplicate monies had been charged by the hotel. Mistakes happen. It it how quickly and satisfactorily they are sorted that makes the difference between staying there again and avoiding it. Would I recommend staying here? Yes, breakfast is good and the hotel was clean and quiet on the 19th floor. It is dated and could do with updating but it is not bad value when they don’t empty your bank account! Just pay in cash if you’re staying there and avoid that nasty old man on reception who works at night.

The granada hotel has a great reception team, the room where they put me is very good in terms of: shower, bed and space; the location is good. Now breakfast is well below an acceptable standard. Considering the small space where and how it is served, the absence of natural juices and the delay in replacing food.

The hotel is beautiful, but it shows a lack of care. Furniture already deteriorated and without much maintenance. The bed had no comforter and the pillows were very thin. It was pretty crowded the day I went, even though it was during the week. Value for money is good if you get a below average price.

The reception leaves something to be desired, a gentleman who stays in the morning who does not have the minimum of education, always speaks with an arrogant and stupid tone.The hotel has a great view, and location close to Lapa, with metro stations nearby. Excellent breakfast.

The room was clean, the only problem I had with the door knob, but no big deal, my problem was the people at the front desk, they made me wait because they were either on the phone or the computer or talking to each other. They didn’t acknowledge me immediately when I arrived, they need to be trained better for hospitality, I was standing in front of them for 5 min or more and they wouldn’t bother to say please give me a minute, nothing that is not the way it was rude. Every agent did the same. They were friendly after but not aware of the time they made me wait when there wa no line, the supervisor was next to the agent and DID nothing either.

It was a good experience in the hotel ranking from the hispitality, amenities and most especially the breakfast provided. The hotel is centrally locate for most tourist activities and the airport. I highly recommend this for anyone on tourist to Rio.

Não parecia que era o segmento econômico. Um excelente atendimento, um café da manhã maravilhoso. Todos os colaboradores muito receptivos e hospitaleiros. A minha suite era limpa sempre que eu solicitava. A água do chuveiro super quente. O ar-condicionado geladinho. Senti tranquilidade ao ficar hospedada sozinha, porque, por todos os cantos, percebia a presença da equipe de vigilância e segurança no hotel. Precisei de um piso (toalha para os pés) na saída da porta do banheiro. Não é um procedimento padrão do Ibis Budget utilizar esse aparato, segundo um dos recepcionistas. De qualquer forma, eles disponibilizaram duas unidades deles para o meu conforto e satisfação. Só tenho a agradecer o Ibis Budget. Que Deus abençoe sempre o excelente trabalho de vocês!

Nice breakfast, but same stuff all the time. No pot and teas in the room. No tea for breakfast as well. Staff is very friendly (Rafael). Rooms are very simple with bad acoustics, no view. Overall just OK.
