Excellent accommodation and structure. It offers a really rich buffet breakfast.It offers a buffet lunch at an equally generous extra cost. The only negative point was the lighting in the bedroom and bathroom, which are poor, very focused on giving a cozy atmosphere, but it does a lot of harm when it is necessary to work or to do makeup.

I actually had 2 comfortable nights at this hotel but their website just kept on charging my credit card over and over. Thankfully, it showed up on my phone, so I was able to inform the staff and show them the receipt at the time. A very helpful front receptionist said he would contact the finance department and that when I checked out early the next morning' it would all have been rectified. When I went to reception, no one could help and I was told to wait for the manager who would be on duty after my flight left..... So far, no response from this hotel and no money back.I've contacted my credit card provider and so I now have to battle to get my money back. My experience of checking in was in I’m afraid to say, truly awful. I arrived at 5am and the older gentleman checking me in was ignorant. Apparently, he was the ‘English speaker’ on duty and he completely ignored me when I asked a question. I received no information whatsoever about breakfast times, where facilities in the hotel were and he didn’t even have the good manners to look up at me when I checked in, he just opened his hand for my passport. He started huffing and getting obviously irritated when I asked if it were possible to arrange a later breakfast as I wouldn’t be getting to bed u TIL 6am, despite having to pay for the hotel for the night before. The guy actually just ignored me until I asked him directly and he didn’t even look up and said ‘no’ in a really annoyed manner. Great customer service, thanks! Thankfully, when I had need to speak to reception staff during the day, this was a much better experience. I spoke to a young woman and on another occasion a young uni man who were friendly and helpful, so much so, I decided to stay again on my return trip the following week. That was up until they kept charging my credit card, firstly through the own hotels website that said the transaction failed but charged the credit card and then again when duplicate monies had been charged by the hotel. Mistakes happen. It it how quickly and satisfactorily they are sorted that makes the difference between staying there again and avoiding it. Would I recommend staying here? Yes, breakfast is good and the hotel was clean and quiet on the 19th floor. It is dated and could do with updating but it is not bad value when they don’t empty your bank account! Just pay in cash if you’re staying there and avoid that nasty old man on reception who works at night.

The granada hotel has a great reception team, the room where they put me is very good in terms of: shower, bed and space; the location is good. Now breakfast is well below an acceptable standard. Considering the small space where and how it is served, the absence of natural juices and the delay in replacing food.

It was a good experience in the hotel ranking from the hispitality, amenities and most especially the breakfast provided. The hotel is centrally locate for most tourist activities and the airport. I highly recommend this for anyone on tourist to Rio.

It is the 3 time we have stayed and would continue to choose Casa Nova Hotel. For the location, value for money. Cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. It's a super varied and delicious mesh coffee. I highly recommend

It was determined by the reviews I did not know what staying anywhere for the first time in Rio. The place is in the downtown area, and the surrounding area is a little dirty and there are concerns about security. There is a big supermarket nearby so you can shop there. Use Uber to move.The hotel itself is new, spacious and easy to use and the staff are very friendly.

Comfortable rooms, friendly staff, beautiful decoration, lovely rooftop bar. The only ”problem” I could mention is that the hotel is located in front of a very busy street and it can be quite noisy from early morning till very late at night - I'd recommend talking to staff prior booking if you need silence. The hotel also owns a SPA, small cinema, library and many other intersting common areas, and offered yoga classes twice a day during my stay. Really, really nice! Lapa does seem dodgy and it can be dangerous. Usually there are cops around as the neighbourhood is quite famous for Selarón Staircase, bars and music venues. As a local, I'd say: mind your surroundings, avoid showing off cellphones and jewls, and pick up a Uber if you feel insecure! In general, Selina is located in a very central area with buses and subway (~10min walk).

We stayed for three nights and ate in the “Opera” restaurant in the hotel. The room was quite large, with an enormous comfortable bed. Very clean and tidy hotel. On the roof terrace there is a bar for drinks and snacks and a small swimming pool. From the terrace you can see the Sugar Loaf Mountain and also Christ the Redeemer statue. The food in the restaurant was of a very good standard delivered by friendly staff, who helped us through our pathetic portuguese. Each night during the week they have a chef’s special. On Wednesday they had roast duck, which was superb. The breakfast has nearly everything you need, both hot and cold. It is situated in the centre of Rio, at Cinelandia, which is perfect for the metro, buses and trams. Highly recommended!

O preço da estadia é consideravelmente mais alto que a de outros hotéis do mesmo nível nas proximidades, porém a segurança e facilidade agregadas por ele estar em construção contígua ao aeroporto Santos Dumont, justificam uma escolha exclusivamente para estadias bem curtas, de um ou dois dias, na minha opinião. O isolamento acústico é muito bom. As lâmpadas dicroicas sobre o espelho estavam queimadas (foto) e o banheiro escuro, dificultando a realização da maquiagem pela minha esposa. O secador de cabelos estava preso a um suporte de madeira em uma clássica gambiarra (foto). O suco de laranja servido no café da manhã (fundamental) estava horrível. Os demais itens do café da manhã estavam dentro da normalidade, porém em nível de qualidade compatível com o de hotéis mais simples.

We visited the hotel during the Carnaval period in 2020. The hotel is situated in the neighbourhood Lapa, in the middle of the street festivals and very close to the Sambodromo. The room is spacious and very clean. More importantly, the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the neighbourhood. We loved our stay and recommend the hotel to anyone who wants to visit the heart of Rio, cidade maravilhosa!
